Coheed and Matty

Last Wednseday I took a night off of comedy to see the best rock band going right now Coheed and Cambria. Who? Yes, progresssive, emo rock with Dungeons and Dragons lyrics only a nerd could love. Oh, and every album is a whole story made into a comic book. I'm sure someday they will be valuable much like the Kiss love gun.

My older sister was nice enough to take me and my younger sister to the show and it was a Goldberg family outing. Here is a very interesting Coheed and Cambria fun fact. I went to high school with the bass player. Though he was much younger then I was, I do remember competing against him in the battle of the bands. He was in this horrible band Albino Lemmings, and I was in this even worse band No IQ. Anyway his band was so bad, I felt he and his bandmates should quit and never pick up and instrument again. I wonder if he remembers my band. The principal pulled the plug on us because students were moshing. HIGH SCHOOL MAN!!!

So yes, I love this band. They rock. And they really rocked last Wednseday, though my sisters kind of ruined it for me. I sat in between them and they decided to have lame conversations in between each song. You gotta understand each song builds drama and I'm feeling the vibe. But its hard when Kate is asking Jessica if she likes her earings. Or what time they have to be up the next morning. I asked them if they were digging the band, and they started talking about Neil Young or some shit like that. I had to zone them out.

I must say it was a great time, and I fully endorse Coheed and Cambria. Rock on and maintain your battle stations.
